Meet EMILY SAPP, Dramaturg for Two Lakes, Two Rivers and Much Ado About Nothing

Emily is a graduate student in the Women’s Studies department. She serves as the dramaturg for Two Lakes, Two Rivers and Much Ado About Nothing in the SDSU Theatre Season.

I have had a very busy summer. I am working on the first two productions of the SDSU Theatre season, and we have had meetings and rehearsals throughout that time.

What have I been up to?

  • Working with director Prof. Dani Bedau (Theatre, Television, and Film) and Prof. Audrey Hokoda (Child and Family Development) to create resources for both the company working on Two Lakes, Two Rivers and for the audiences seeing the show.
  • Assembling information that is useful for the company of Much Ado as they work to set the show in mid-Nineteenth Century California.
  • Attending rehearsals for Two Lakes, Two Rivers on Zoom.
  • Assisting in creating the Two Lakes, Two Rivers dramaturgy website and a google slideshow for the playbill.
